Monday, September 1st, 2008. (Labor Day) - The Greenbelt Labor Day Festival Parade will take place at 10:00AM to noon. It will start at the Buddy Attick Park (Greenbelt Lake) and proceed to
Roosevelt Center. Groups of all types are invited to participate. CASH prizes!
Owners of antique fire apparatus are STRONGLY encouraged to participate.
Antique Firetrucks will be the FIRST units to go through the parade!
Check-In Information:
Please report to the parade check-in center between 8:30 am and 9:00 am.
It will be located at the entrance of Buddy Attick Park at the corner of
Kenilworth Avenue (MD 201) and Crescent Road. You will be assigned a
parade unit number at this time. The parade starts promptly at 10:00 a.m. Here's a picture from Last Years Parade.

Saturday, September 13th, 2008 - Founders Day and Muster at the Fire Museum of Maryland, 1301 York Road (located behind Heaver Plaza) Lutherville, Maryland 21093 (410) 321-7500. Event runs from 11:00 to 3:00. All events will be held on the grounds of the Fire Museum regardless of weather conditions. CAFAA members are strongly encouraged to bring there rigs and participate in this event. Fire related activities will include pumping, static displays, kids pumping area and demonstrations. Saturday, September 20, 2008 - D.C. Fire Fighters Association, Local #36 Presents:
The 5th Annual Antique Fire Apparatus Show.
The D.C. Fire Fighters Association, Local #36, will host its 5th Annual Antique Fire Apparatus Show at the Armed Forces Retirement Home, Rock Creek Church Rd & Upshur St, NW, Washington, D.C. Registration is from 9:30 to 11:00 am. The show is from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm and will be held on the grounds of the Retirement Home regardless of weather conditions. The Show is being held to benefit the D.C. Fire Fighters Burn Foundation. Fire related activities will include static displays, bag pipes, rig judging/awards and demonstrations. Food will be available at the site.

Sunday, September 28th, 2008 - CAFAA will host its Annual Fall Muster on Sunday, September 28, 2008 at the Maryland Sunrise Farm in Gambrills, Maryland. (Formerly the Naval Academy Dairy Farm). Fire related activities will include pumping, static displays, and demonstrations. This is a free event. No registration is required. Please contact one of the names listed below, so we can get an idea whose attending and how much food to prepare. Everyone should bring a dish. The club will provide hotdogs, burgers and soda. Also, there will be hay rides and a corn maze put on by the folks who run the old Dairy Farm. The Muster starts @ 9 AM. Rain or shine.
