The Rhode Island Antique Fire Apparatus Society, the Rhode Island chapter of the Society for the Preservation and
Appreciation of Antique Motor Fire Apparatus in America (SPAAMFAA) will be holding its 15th Annual Antique Fire
Apparatus and Equipment Show.
Show will run from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm at the New England Institute of Technology East Greenwich campus, located
at 1 New England Tech Blvd. Admission to the show is free. We will however be collecting new, unwrapped toys that
will be distributed to needy families during the holiday season.
The show will consist of a display of antique motorized fire apparatus & other fire memorabilia. There will be a Fire
Safety Smoke House for children to go through. Smokey Bear & Sparky the Fire Dog are also scheduled to make an
appearance during the show.

Bells Across America. Fire Departments sounded a series of bells when firefighters died in the line of duty to alert all
members that a comrade had made the ultimate sacrifice. This time-honored tradition continues today during funerals
& memorial services for firefighters. Bells will ring coast to coast as a grateful nation pauses to honor those firefighters
who died in 2018 and previous years.
The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is asking communities, fire service organizations, and religious
organizations to help us honor our fallen firefighters by participating in Bells Across America for Fallen Firefighters.
A moment of remembrance can occur any time during Memorial Weekend, October 5 - 6.

Florida Antique Bucket Brigade will be hosting the 2nd Annual Antique Fire Apparatus Show. Held in conjunction with the
Florida Chapter - ATCA Vintage Truck Show. To be held at Paquette’s Farmall Museum, 615 S Whitney Rd. All rigs are
invited to attend the 3 day event but our show will not be until Saturday the 15th. All motorized & hand drawn are welcome.
Prize money for longest distance driven/transported IN/OUT of state.Pumping contest to be held weather permitting with
prizes awarded for first water.
Drafting will be permitted all day. Awards for fastest water/Best of Show/oldest motorized/oldest non motorized and
contestants favorite. Please join us for this event. There is a lot to do at this facility & a lot of interesting antique trucks &

Join us for the 2020 SPAAMFAA Winter Convention. Since no chapter bid for the 2020 Winter Convention, SPAAMFAA
National will be hosting an abbreviated 3 day event.
We will offer “Explore on Your Own” info regarding the many attractions in Charleston. There will be no scheduled bus
tours. But you can enjoy visiting with friends old & new or shop ’til you drop at the Tanger Outlets.
Thursday will feature 2 seminars, Waterous Apparatus 1904-1938 and Photo Karaoke.
Friday evening will include the Chapter Presidents’ & Membership Meetings. There will be an indoor Flea Market on
Saturday & a banquet.
Host hotel is the Crowne Plaza Charleston Airport Convention Center, 4831Tanger Outlet Blvd. For reservations call the
