California Automobile Museum in partnership with the

Pioneer Hook and Ladder Sacramento Fire Museum, 

present To the Rescue, the Fire Trucks and People 

that saved our Cities.  Explore all sorts of firefighting

vehicles, equipment and stories in this exhibit.  Many 

of the trucks and other objects on display were local to

Sacramento and saved our city, from the late 1800’s

and through the 1940’s.  Don’t forget to experience 

sitting in a 1921 Graham fire truck!  Schedule for

availability to be posted soon, but expect it to be on

most weekends at least during the exhibit.

Watch as firefighters drive the huge machines 

backwards and forward through tightly spaced cones 

to the tick of stop watch.

 In addition to watching the rodeo, there will be a fire 

apparatus photographer on hand to provide free 

photographs of the vehicles.  Firefighter’s Parade, 

held rain or shine, now the largest and one of the 

oldest annual firefighters parade in the world.

Firemen’s Assoc., of the State of NY (FASNY) Museum 

of Firefighting is revising the muster on the grounds of 

the FASNY Firemen’s home. Muster grounds open 10 am.  

The first muster will coincide with the 125th Anniversary 

Celebration at the FASNY Firemen’s Home. We will be 

partnering with the Hudson FD Inspection Day Parade 

on this special day.  Parade will start at 9:30 am.  There 

are plans to add demos and games to the muster as well.

Park in the center of historic Germantown.  The park has

ample space.  Approximately 40 antique fire apparatus

will be on display.  A fire related flea market will offer a

variety of items.  Bring the entire family for a fun “step

can play the longest stream of water.  This is the oldest

ultimate sacrifice with their lives.

10 September 2017 - Hudson, Ohio

Western Reserve (Cleveland) Fire Museum (Greater 

Cleveland chapter of SPAAMFAA)  and Education 

Center AnnualMuster, in conjunction with the Hudson 

FD and the new Hudson Fire Museum. To be held in 

downtown Hudson (Ohio SR 91 and SR 303), on the 

historic downtown Hudson Green.  Our muster will 

feature hand and horse drawn apparatus.  Plans call 

for hand engines to pump from an antique cistern on 

the Green.  This event is not meant to be a competition 

but rather a demonstration of old-time firefighting 

apparatus. We extend an invitation to all owners of 

hand engines as well as antique and not-so-antique 

fire apparatus to attend.  The newly completed Fire 

Museum will be open.

Preservation of York, PA. (Old Fire Farts) Cousler Park,

apparatus is Seagrave, but all types of apparatus are

36th Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial

Weekend.  Every October the Foundation sponsors the

official national tribute to all firefighters who died in the

line of duty during the previous year.  For a full schedule

8 October 2017 - Nationwide

Bells Across America.  Fire Departments sounded a

series of bells when firefighters died in the line of

duty to alert all members that a comrade had made

the ultimate sacrifice.  This time-honored tradition 

continues today during funerals and memorial services

for firefighters.  For the 7th year bells will ring coast

to coast as a grateful nation pauses to honor those

firefighters who died in 2016 and previous years.

  The National Fallen Firefighters Foundation is asking

communities, fire service organizations, and religious

organizations to help us honor our fallen firefighters

by participating in Bells Across America for Fallen

Firefighters.  A moment of remembrance can occur

any time during Memorial Weekend, October 7 - 8.

Fire department representatives are encouraged

to work with their clergy and community leaders to

develop an appropriate ceremony.

60 antiques, contains examples of fire engines powered 

by hand, chemical reaction steam, gasoline and diesel 

fuel.  In addition to the fire apparatus, many examples of 

tools, art, memorabilia and other items of interest will be 

on display.
