5 February 2022 - Baltimore, Maryland
Box 414 Assoc., invites you to join us as the Chesapeake Model Club will be displaying their handcrafted fire engine 
models of all sizes. Location: Baltimore Fire Museum, Old Engine House 6, Gay & Orleans Sts., 10 am - 3 pm.

The museum will also be open for you to tour all of its rich history of the Baltimore City Fire Service. Share with us as 
we celebrate the anniversary of the Great Baltimore Fire of 1904. 
Additionally we are proud to announce that on this same date we will be dedicating our train garden & Old Engine 24 
to honor our late curator & past president Robert ďBobĒ Brown.  Bob was instrumental on obtaining 24 Engine for the 
museum and had rehabbed it twice, once while he was a beat cop and then when he obtained it for the museum.  
Bob also had a passion for model trains and created the train garden that is currently on the 2nd floor of the building

History Ablaze! The Great Fire of Baltimore event at the Fire Museum of Maryland will be virtual this year. We're excited
because that means fire history fans from around the nation can join us from 1 to 3 pm ET for this lively presentation.  
Learn all about the blaze that destroyed more than 1500 buildings. Historian Wayne Schaumberg will present a Power 
Point. Museum director Steve Heaver will be your guide in the museum, showing actual apparatus that fought the blaze, 
and demonstrating our working alarm office. Members $20, General Public $25.

The Islip Town Fire & EMS Museum & Education Center and the New York State Association of Fire Chiefs (NYSAFC) 
are excited to announce the dates of the Long Island Metro Fire/EMS Expo at the Nassau Coliseum.  
The museum and NYSAFC are excited about this partnership, which will allow for a comprehensive event featuring 
exhibits of new products and technologies in the industry, as well as 15 one-hour educational seminars for emergency
services personnel.  
This event will benefit the museum and the association, supporting their shared mission to serve the fire & emergency 
services personnel of Long Island and New York state.

The host hotel is located approximately 25 miles from the Orlando International Airport (MCO); there are two Amtrak 
stations, one located in Kissimmee and the other in Orlando, both are approximately 45 minutes away.  If you need 
transportation from the airport, we would suggest trying to use Uber or Lyft to the hotel as there is no airport shuttle 
available. Car rental is available at the hotel.

We are a local bunch of fire service guys. Since there are no shows in the Buffalo area we decided to create one for the 
Fire Engine and Truck owners to display their rigs. Along with that, there are model builders who like to display & share 
what they do also. So with that being said The Greater Buffalo Fire Muster & Model show is being put together.

100th Anniversary of the building dedication by the Independent Fire Co., No. 1.
Broadway & Olive Sts. at 7 pm.  We are also happy to announce after a 22 years absence from the front ramp of the 
firehouse the original bell will be replaced and rededicated that evening!  The bells history dates back to 1910 and was 
located on the corner for decades. 
 As we prepare for this Ceremony to honor those who have served, we also will recognize the Line of Duty Death of 
Fireman George W. A. Bishop, Jr., in 1939. Fireman George W.A. Bishop Jr of 15 Walnut Street was tragically killed 
while on duty on the evening of May 19, 1939 while working on scaffolding at the Independent Fire Company No. 2 
located at Broadway and Olive Street Westville, New Jersey. 
***PLEASE HELP: Over the years we have lost contact with the Bishop family. Any family members or anyone who 
knows any relatives of George W.A. Bishop, Jr. please contact Chief Eric Farley at 856-456-9432.

Annual Jeffco Fire Engine Rally.The Jefferson County Firefighters Association is sponsoring the 27th Annual Jeffco 
Fire Engine Rally. The rally begins with a parade of fire and EMS apparatus at 9:00 am. The parade will begin at the St. 
Pius X High School & travel north on Highway 61-67 to the fairgrounds in Herculaneum. At 10 am, opening ceremony 
will begin with a memorial service & a special 9/11 memorial.  
The rally will feature numerous fire apparatus & EMS vehicles on display, firefighter competitions, firefighter demos, 
air rescue helicopters & numerous vendor booths. Numerous activities for children will include firefighter related games, 
bounce house & inflatable maze, build it workshops by Home Depot & Lowe's, scavenger hunt, face paintings and a 
children's firefighter challenge. Fire department patch trading and selling will also be available. Food, drink and other 
concessions will be available for purchase. No alcohol is permitted. 
Awards for truck categories and competition winners will be presented at the closing ceremony. The event is open to 
the public and is free of charge.

Vintage Fire Museumís Annual Muster, 706 Spring St. Fire departments & privately owned apparatus are invited to join 
us for the parade at 11 am, lineup begins at 10:15 am.  Parade will go on Spring St., from the Museum south to 
After the parade from 11:30 am - 2 pm gather outside the Museum to purchase an economical hot dog lunch and to buy 
something at the swap meet.  There is no fee to set up a table to sell items.  Take a look inside the Museum (1/2 price
that day) at the amazing displays.
At 2 pm head to the Jeffersonville riverfront to watch some of the vintage fire trucks pump water far out into the river.

41st Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.  The Memorial Weekend will be held in-person on the 
grounds of the National Emergency Training Center (NETC).  Every Oct. the Foundation sponsors the official national 
tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. More details when available.

Westminster FD 200th Anniversary Muster, 28 John St.  Parade lineup 9 am, 60 Monroe St., step-off 10 am.  We will go 
from Monroe Street,  to Pennsylvania Ave., to Main Street, to Longwell Ave., to Tuc Road, to Railroad Ave. (some rigs will 
exit the route from here to lots behind our firehouse), to Winters St., to John St., & then enter parking lot off John St.
Following the parade, all antique fire apparatus will be parked at Westminster FD & surrounding parking lots for viewing. 
Many activities will be happening for all to enjoy, including games, music, and multiple food trucks!
Apparatus registration is FREE. Registration due by noon on 9/30/2023.
