The Pennsylvania Pump Primers will hold their annual Antique Fire Apparatus Show and Muster from 10 AM to 4 PM in Riverfront Park, across from Harrisburg Hospital.   Admission is free.  The site offers excellent access to the Susquehanna River for riverside mass pumping, as well as a shady park setting for show apparatus and a flea market.  It has been called one of the best muster locations in the country and is capable of staging over 100 rigs along the river for mass pumping, with room for more than 50 on static display.

    We are celebrating our centennial.  Fri. 10 July 2010 – Riverhead, New York

This year the Riverhead Fire Department will be hosting an event much larger than usual. We will be hosting “The 138th Suffolk County Annual Motorized Drill & Parade”.  With a rain date set for the 11th.  To be held at the Riverhead Fire Dept Training ground, on Rte 58 between the NY State Armory and Apple Honda. 

There will be water brigades, motorized pumps, fire truck racing and ladder climbing!  And after the drill there will be a parade.  This parade is in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Riverhead Fire Department’s ‘IRONMEN’ Drill Team. Fire & Ice at Old Sturbridge Village 9:30 AM – 5 PM.  This event, featuring antique hand-pump fire engines and historical ice cream making, is presented in conjunction with Handtub Junction USA, America's premier historical firefighting website. Half-price admission is offered for all firefighters on this day.
Also featured will be a parade of historical hand-pump fire trucks, part of an old-time firemen's muster. Lend a hand to help pump water, as fire companies compete to see who can shoot a stream of water the furthest. Teams of firefighters will also compete in a bucket brigade.
Antique hand-tubs -- and their manpower teams -- will gather at the Village from various corners of New England, New Jersey, and even California. The Connecticut Fire Photographers Association in conjunction with Fireengines.net are hosting an all-day fire buffing event at the Sheraton Four Points Hotel located at 275 Research Parkway.  Held rain or shine.
The event will consist of a model fire engine show and display, an outdoor apparatus display, and a photo night. The model show will run from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Ballroom C. The outdoor apparatus display will be from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. in the south side parking lot. The photo night will run from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. in Ballroom B. Admission to the model and apparatus displays is free, and CFPA will be charging $10.00 per person to attend the photo night. Vendor tables are available for $20.00 each on a first-come, first-served basis. Montgomery Fire Department celebrates its 200th year with a fireman's parade at 3:00 PM. Over 50 Fire Departments will participate as they march from the O.C. Airport to the Veteran's Memorial Park. The parade route will go down Union Street turn right on Boyd Street, turn left on Railroad Avenue, to Clinton Street, left onto Bridge Street to the park. At 8:00 PM at the Veteran's Memorial Park Bandstand the Fire Department will present the awards. 22 – 25 July 2010 – Newburg, Oregon

Newberg, Oregon, will host the town's 32nd annual Newberg Old Fashioned Festival with some first time events for fire enthusiasts!  Saturday morning, the annual parade of 100 classic entries will include an 1899 American steam pumper pulled by a team of three fire horses.  Music plays on the main stage for all four days of the event, coupled with great food and entertainment in Pioneer Park.  Then, on Sunday, Newberg will host the first ever Antique Fire Apparatus Exhibit and Pump-In (we hope) on the old high school grounds just south of the park.  We expect two dozen pieces of antique apparatus to exhibit around the old track, and the center section will be reserved for pumping demonstrations and other classic fire fighting events.  A good turnout will help ensure that this part of the Old Fashioned Festival gets bigger and better every year!  Exhibition of  antique apparatus is free and breakfast is provided for the driver of each entry.  For more information on how to enter, contact Antique Apparatus Coordinator Matt Simek, 503-538-1093, or mattsimek@earthlink.net.

The Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association holds its annual Firehouse Festival each year on the first Saturday in August. The popular family event features antique fire apparatus, craft booths, displays by Alexandria merchants, and live music.

In addition to the day's outdoor events, festival participants will enjoy visiting the Friendship Firehouse Museum, originally built as a firehouse in 1855.

Now a philanthropic organization focusing on fire-fighting history and fire safety, the Friendship Fire Company remains active in community events, including the annual Festival.

Firefighters Kids Camp is a one-week program held annually to benefit young burn survivors who are at least six (6) years of age and have completed the 1st grade, to age seventeen.  A Counselor-In-Training (CIT) program is also available for young adult burn survivors. a Firefighters Kids Camp provides young burn survivors a place where they can be “just like everyone else.”  There are no stares, no social avoidance and no awkward interactions; just fun, friendship, understanding and encouragement in a safe and caring environment.  Camp provides an opportunity for kids who have experienced terrible circumstances to see a future filled with endless possibilities.  In addition to counseling and peer support, this special week at camp is filled with fun activities such as nature hikes, swimming, rafting, archery and plenty of arts and crafts.  For further info ,mailcamp@ffburn.org / Website www.ffburn.org / Office: (916) 739-8525.

Third annual Pacific Northwest Chapter pump-in and apparatus show at Horseshoe Lake.  Come out and join us for our third apparatus display and pump-in.. The park is just off I-5 and offers a large display area and access to water for those who want to pump their apparatus. Last year's event attracted quite a few pieces of apparatus and we would like to see even more rigs at this years show. Two Days of Events Emphasizing Fire Education and Safety and The Understanding and Appreciation of the History of Firefighting. IAFF Fallen Fire Fighters Annual Memorial Observance Ceremony takes place at 1 pmLoved ones of fallen fire fighters and thousands of IAFF members and others are expected to attend. This year’s ceremony will honor those killed in the line of duty between June 1, 2009 - June 1, 2010. The mission of the IAFF Fallen Fire Fighter Memorial, which is located in the shadow of Pike’s Peak, is to honor the sacrifice made by professional fire fighters and paramedics who have given their lives in the line of duty. Since its creation in 1976, the names of fallen IAFF members have been engraved into the wall of honor located behind the memorial. The organization also provides assistance to surviving families and serves as a public reminder of the risks fire fighters take every day.

The Lebanon New Hampshire Fire Department is proud to announce the 2nd annual “Lebanon Fire Safety Day” between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. at the Lebanon High School Parking Lot on Hanover Street Extension, Lebanon New Hampshire. This year’s event will feature fire apparatus from throughout the region on display, including antique apparatus.  We will also have an observance of the 9/11 tragedy with an Honor Guard ceremony. The Canadian Fallen Firefighters Memorial Ceremony honors all Canadian firefighters who have died in the line of duty.  The 2010 ceremony honorary host is the Calgary FD.  The public is welcome to attend the Memorial Ceremony and support Canada’s fallen firefighters. The parade will depart from the front of the Supreme Court of Canada on Wellington Street at 10:30 AM. There will be a reception in the Centre Block of the Parliament Buildings after the ceremony. National Fire Heritage Muster.  Located on the grounds of historic Spring Grove Cemetery & Arboretum.  FREE Admission and Parking.   For more than 150 years, firefighters across the United States have "mustered", or gathered to show off their firefighting equipment, preserve fire service history, and promote fire safety. In celebration of this grand American tradition, antique fire truck collectors and active fire departments from the tri-state and across the nation are gearing up for this event.
