It is strongly advised that you contact the sponsors of these events to be certain
they are still scheduled. Bad weather, lack of participants and vendors may cause

The line-up will start around 10:00 a.m. on Kanawha Blvd West. Parade will head east to Pennsylvania Avenue North 
then turn right on to Virginia Street, the parade will continue on Virginia St and turn right on to Leon Sullivan Way. From 
Leon they will go one block and turn left on Kanawha Blvd and line up for the awards.

Privately owned vehicles and local fire departments are invited to bring their apparatus to participate in a static display

100th Anniversary of the building dedication by the Independent Fire Co., No. 1.
Broadway & Olive Sts. at 7 pm.  We are also happy to announce after a 22 years absence from the front ramp of the 
firehouse the original bell will be replaced and rededicated that evening!  The bells history dates back to 1910 and was 
located on the corner for decades. 
 As we prepare for this Ceremony to honor those who have served, we also will recognize the Line of Duty Death of 
Fireman George W. A. Bishop, Jr., in 1939. Fireman George W.A. Bishop Jr of 15 Walnut Street was tragically killed 
while on duty on the evening of May 19, 1939 while working on scaffolding at the Independent Fire Company No. 2 
located at Broadway and Olive Street Westville, New Jersey. 
***PLEASE HELP: Over the years we have lost contact with the Bishop family. Any family members or anyone who 
knows any relatives of George W.A. Bishop, Jr. please contact Chief Eric Farley at 856-456-9432.

The Ferndale Emergency Vehicle Show, in downtown Ferndale, Michigan 1:00 -  6:00 P.M.
During the course of the show, around 100 emergency vehicles will be on display.  Vehicles on display will include both 
antique & modern era ambulances, fire apparatus and police units. 
At 5:30 P.M., a "Lights & Sirens" cruise takes place starting at Woodward & Nine Mile.  This is the kick-off event for the 
Woodward Dream Cruise which takes place the very next day.

TV series. Actors Randolph Mantooth and Kevin Tighe will be live on-stage Saturday August 20th at 7:30 pm. They will 
be taking questions from their fans and sharing behind-the-scenes stories from their days of filming.

We are expanding our fire muster for our 100th Anniversary celebration! Our muster is open to all department and 
privately owned emergency vehicles of all ages and types. Please help us by preregistering your apparatus at this link
Kicking off the event will be a short ceremony to reflect on our history, and to present awards & recognitions for fire 
company members & contributors, past and present.
Enjoy live music and ax throwing, while helping yourself to food and drinks.
Plenty of activities for kids including a fire truck bounce house, face painting, and crafts.

11 September 2022 - Jeffersonville, Indiana
The Vintage Fire Museum announces that on Sunday, September 11, 2022, 3:00 PM, it will sponsor its annual event to 
honor all those who lost their lives in the Twin Towers attack of September 11, 2001.  The event will take place at the Big 
Four Station in Jeffersonville. It will be on the west side of the park along Mulberry St., (behind the entrance to the 
walking bridge). People are welcome to bring lawn chairs for the outdoor event. People are invited to bring a mask and to 
social distance.
This year’s memorial will include an honor guard, a large flag raised high between two ladder trucks, a short address, 
a prayer, a period of silence, and a bell ceremony.  
The event is free, and all are invited to attend. Honoring those who have sacrificed their lives for others is especially 
important in a time such as this. Vintage Fire Museum thanks Jeffersonville Parks Department & the City of Jeffersonville 
for its assistance.

24 September 2022 - Herculaneum, Missouri
Annual Jeffco Fire Engine Rally. 10 am - 3 pm.
The Jefferson County Firefighters Association is sponsoring the 28th Annual Jeffco Fire Engine Rally. The rally begins 
with a parade of fire and EMS apparatus at 9:00 am, lineup 8:30 am. The parade will begin at the St. Pius X High School 
& travel north on Highway 61-67 to the fairgrounds in Herculaneum. At 10 am, opening ceremony begins with a 
memorial service & a special 9/11 memorial.  
The rally will feature numerous fire apparatus & EMS vehicles on display, firefighter competitions, firefighter demos, 
air rescue helicopters & numerous vendor booths. Numerous activities for children will include firefighter related games, 
bounce house & inflatable maze, build it workshops by Home Depot & Lowe's, scavenger hunt, face paintings and a 
children's firefighter challenge. 
Fire department patch trading & selling will also be available. Food, drink & other concessions will be available for 
purchase. No alcohol is permitted. 
Vendor spaces are available for food, drink, fire-related equipment, fire collectibles (patches, toys, books, etc.), crafts 
and informational booths.  $25.00 per 10'x10' space with two chairs and one table.

Awards for truck categories and competition winners will be presented at the closing ceremony. Event is open to the 
public and is free of charge.

Are you looking for a fun, economical family event? Enjoy the Vintage Fire Museum’s annual Muster. 
A “muster” is a firefighter celebration for displaying equipment and skills. It is fun. 
Here are a few of the features of this year’s Muster:
At 11:00 a parade of fire trucks (including several Jeffersonville trucks) will be on Spring St., from Museum south to 
Chestnut. Other fire departments and private owners are invited to bring their fire trucks and join in the parade. Assembly 
begins at 10:15. Cheer for your favorite. And after the short parade, enjoy the shops of downtown Jeffersonville.
From 11:30 until 2:00 gather outside at the Museum (706 Spring Street) to purchase an economical hot dog lunch and 
to buy something at the “swap meet.” (No fee to set up a table and sell things.) 
At 2:00 head to the Jeffersonville riverfront to watch some of the fire trucks pump water far out into the river. Free. 
Then head back to the Museum to take in anything you may have missed. Soft drinks and snacks will be available. 
The Museum will be open from 10:00 until 4:00. You will love our wonderful new Museum building at 706 Spring St.

be hosting our annual muster at the Pataskala Antique Power Show, Foundation Park, 10255 McIntosh Rd. The power 
show is a three day event September 23rd, 24th & 25th. We will be hosting our antique fire apparatus & flea market 
on Saturday September 24th. There is no admission charge or fees. There are a huge amount of activities planned

NJ Fire Museum is hosting its’ 6th Annual Open House, 9 am - 3 pm. Location: 4 Polhemustown Rd.
If you love or are interested in antique fire trucks, firefighting history and family fun please join us. We will have our fire 
trucks displayed outside and hands on activities throughout the museum. Come join us, get water pumping out of the 
1800 hand pumper! Food and drinks are available, raffle baskets, 50/50, and lots more. This is our big fund raiser that 
helps keep this museum functioning.

East Jefferson Fire Rescue Officials at East Jefferson Fire Rescue (EJFR) are inviting everyone to a very 
special celebration at Port Townsend City Hall of the fire department’s 150th anniversary. While many  
details are still being refined, the date is set and so is the organizers’ commitment to putting together an 
event that celebrates the fire department as well as the communities it serves. 
 Demonstrations and competitions as well as displays of fire equipment and apparatus, old and new, are 
among the activities being planned.  There will be more leading up to the celebration, too;  organizers are 
putting together activities for all ages, designed to generate excitement and increase knowledge of local 
history as well as emergency prevention and preparedness.

Parade at 12:00 noon starting our annual Fire Prevention Day, Games, Prizes, Firetruck Rides. Muster held in Historic 
Downtown hoping to get several Model T firetrucks as well as other vintage apparatus. Lodging available as well as 
secure storage for rigs for those interested.

41st Annual National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend.  
 The Memorial Weekend will be held in-person on the 
grounds of the National Emergency Training Center (NETC).  Every Oct. the Foundation sponsors the official national 
tribute to all firefighters who died in the line of duty during the previous year. More details when available. 
***Note: This will be the last Memorial Weekend in Oct.  Beginning in 2023 it will be in May.  The change means

Westminster FD 200th Anniversary Muster, 28 John St.  Parade lineup 9 am, 60 Monroe St., step-off 10 am.  We will go 
from Monroe Street,  to Pennsylvania Ave., to Main Street, to Longwell Ave., to Tuc Road, to Railroad Ave. (some rigs will 
exit the route from here to lots behind our firehouse), to Winters St., to John St., & then enter parking lot off John St.
Following the parade, all antique fire apparatus will be parked at Westminster FD & surrounding parking lots for viewing. 
Many activities will be happening for all to enjoy, including games, music, and multiple food trucks!
