1930 Seagrave Pumper

La Plata Fire Department's 1930 Seagrave Pumper.
Unit has a 500 gpm pump and a Hercules 6 cylinder engine.
This truck was the first pumper to serve Charles county. The first call for
the Seagrave was in Cheltenham in which it pumped water from a pond to the fire.
The last call was in June of 1966 on a fire at the Howard Johnson's motel.
Its restoration project was completed in 1983 at a cost of $11,724.84.
This project included a whole lot of dedicated member hours.
